Although the motor's censored features can’t be utilized with the Sidewinder SCT ESC—meaning it operates in sensorless mode—users still can enjoy its rebuildable design. Parts for the motor will be available soon, and the construction allows for easy replacement of damaged motor wires.

Ready to run right out of the box, the Sidewinder SCT can be programmed using your transmitter, providing an intuitive setup process. However, for users seeking to dive deeper into customization, numerous programmable options can be accessed via a Windows PC using a Castle Link USB adapter (sold separately) or a Field Link card (also sold separately). This enables drivers to fine-tune essential settings, such as throttle response, drag brake, brake and throttle curves, and various other parameters. Additionally, users can download firmware updates and enjoy new features as they become available.
