Crawler fans necessitate precise low-speed control and torque for climbing, racers demand accuracy and predictability, while drag racers cannot afford to lose even a millisecond. To meet these diverse performance expectations, we have seamlessly integrated rotor position sensor technology with our advanced design for high power and efficiency motors.

With our sensors in place, the electronic speed controller (ESC) always knows the rotor's position. This advancement eliminates the risk of cogging or inconsistency during startup, providing users with precise throttle control and buttery smooth initial acceleration. Additionally, our efficient motors deliver raw power and extended run times, enhancing the overall experience.

However, achieving efficiency alone is not sufficient without a robust and reliable design. RC enthusiasts often push their equipment to the limits, and Castle engineers are well aware of this reality. Consequently, we invested significantly in developing a design that can withstand the demanding conditions typical within the RC community. Our use of oversized NMB bearings combined with a vibration dampening system maximizes bearing longevity.

Furthermore, we incorporate high-strength, high-temperature grade neodymium sintered magnets enveloped in a durable Kevlar wrap. This integration ensures that the rotor’s integrity is maintained even in challenging scenarios. Our unique winding methods enable us to create a stator assembly with the lowest possible resistance, contributing to a cooler-running motor—a vital factor since cooler motors have a longer lifespan.

The construction of our motor involved meticulous selection of components, each validated through rigorous internal testing to guarantee peak efficiency. Additionally, our newly designed sensored option permits smoother starts and enhances low-end throttle control while preserving the high torque and power characteristics of our previous sensorless motors.

Regarding specifications, the motor measures 56.3mm in diameter and 112.7mm in length, with a shaft size of 8mm in diameter and 30mm in length. It is recommended for use with up to 12S LiPo batteries (50.4V). The motor features 6.5mm male Castle Bullet Connectors, which are connected to replaceable 10-gauge wires, including a 210mm sensor wire.

This motor serves as the ideal upgrade for any 1:5 scale RC hobby vehicle, including those converting from gas to electric, and is compatible for use with vehicles weighing up to 30 lbs for 2WD and 25 lbs for 4WD setups.
