Castle Creations Sv3 Waterproof ESC & 1406-6900 Motor for 1:10 Scale

The Sidewinder 3 is an ideal waterproof combo designed for 1:10 scale off-road and on-road vehicles operating on up to a 3S LiPo battery (note: it is not intended for use while fully submerged). This new version features upgraded circuitry, resulting in faster response times and enhanced reliability.

At the heart of this combo is an improved 4-pole, 12-slot censored motor, which showcases remarkable efficiency. While it's important to mention that the censored capabilities of this motor will only operate in a sensorless mode when connected to the Sidewinder 3, the advantages remain significant. The motor is rebuildable, with parts set to be available soon, and the design also enables modelers to replace any damaged motor wires easily.

The Sidewinder 3 combo is designed to be ready-to-run straight out of the box, and it is programmable using your transmitter. Users have access to a myriad of additional programmable features via a Windows PC, utilizing a Castle Link USB adapter (sold separately) or a Field Link card (also sold separately). This allows drivers to customize their settings, including brake and throttle curves, throttle response, drag brake adjustments, and various other parameters. Furthermore, they can download new firmware updates and feature enhancements as they become available.

Included in this combo are the Sidewinder 3 ESC and a 1406-6900Kv censored motor. The 1406-6900Kv motor serves as an excellent upgrade for 1/10 scale on-road cars using 2S batteries. It can also be used in lighter off-road 1/10 scale stadium trucks and buggies, provided they have conservative gearing. However, this combo is not suitable for use in 2WD or 4WD short course trucks.

The Sidewinder 3 Combo is packed with power, delivering outstanding performance and response straight out of the box! For optimal usage, the minimum input voltage is 2S LiPo, with a maximum of 3S LiPo (equivalent to 6-8 cell NiMH).

In terms of specifications, the ESC measures L: 1.93 in, W: 1.48 in, H: 0.79 in, and weighs 1.96 oz. The motor dimensions are L: 49.5 mm, Diameter: 36 mm, with M3 mounting holes spaced at 25 mm. It is recommended that the total vehicle weight, including the battery, remains under 4 lbs for best performance.
